Privacy Policy

1. Consent
We have created this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) because we value users` privacy. The Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you, or that you may provide, when you access PGRaters.com (the “Site”) or PGRaters mobile app (the “App”). The Site and the App are collectively referred to herein as the “Service.”. This Policy does not apply to information collected by any third party, including through any external website that may link to or be accessible from the Service. Please check directly with each such third party to avoid unfair surprises and misunderstandings.
Your use of this Service constitutes your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you may not use our Service. This Policy may change from time to time, and the date of last update is indicated at the top of this page. Your continued use of this Service after we revise this Policy is deemed to be acceptance of the revisions, so please check this page from time to time for updates.
2. What information do we collect?
We may collect several types of information from and about users of our Service, including the following:
  • Personal Data: First name, last name, username, email address, age, height, Main position, current city, gender and password.
  • Payment Details: Collected and processed by Stripe Connect, not us. We do not store your card details.
  • Images/Videos: As you navigate through our service, you may upload multiple images and/or videos. These artefacts are stored on a secure server for your continual use. We do not sell or share it with any third party.
  • Voluntary Data: Information you voluntarily provide when you contact us for any reason.
  • Geographic Location: You will also be asked to allow PGRaters to collect your location information from your device when you download or use the Service.Your geographic location is automatically recorded while our application is actively running.
  • Facebook/Google/Apple ID: Also, if you access our Service from a third party social platform, such as Facebook or Google or Apple ID, we may share non-personal information with that platform to the extent permitted by your agreement with it and its privacy settings.
We collect this information:
  • Directly from you when you provide it to us (e.g. when you contact us for any reason).
  • Automatically as you navigate through the Service.
  • Register on our service.
  • Fill out a form, subscribe or enter information on our service.
  • Provide us with feedback on our service.
3. Information you provide
In order to register as a user with PGRaters, you maybe asked to sign in using your Facebook login. If you do so, you authorize us to access certain Facebook account information, such as your public Facebook profile (consistent with your privacy settings in Facebook), your email address, gender, birthday, education history, current city, photos, personal description, friend list, and information about and photos of your Facebook friends who might be common Facebook friends with other PGRaters users. You will also be asked to allow PGRaters to collect your location information from your device when you download or use the Service.
In addition, we may collect and store any personal information you provide while using our Service or in some other manner. This may include identifying information, such as your name, address, email address and telephone number, and, if you transact business with us, financial information. You may also provide us photos, a personal description and information about your gender and preferences for recommendations, such as search distance and gender. If you chat with other PGRaters users, you provide us the content of your chats, and if you contact us with a customer service or other inquiry, you provide us with the content of that communication. However, your chats and contents are private and secure.
4. How do we use your Information?
We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information:
  • To personalize your experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and product offerings in which you are most interested.
  • To allow us to better service you in responding to your customer service requests.
  • To ask for ratings and reviews of services.
  • To notify you about changes to our Service.
  • To follow up with you after correspondence (email or phone inquiries).
  • To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights.
  • To periodically send promotional emails that you can opt out of.
  • In any other way we may describe when you provide the information.
5. With whom we share your information?
Your information will be shared with other users on the platform. When you register as a user of PGRaters , your profile will be viewable by other users of the Service. Other users (and in the case of any sharing features available on PGRaters, the individuals or apps with whom a PGRaters user may choose to share with you) will be able to view information you have provided to us directly or through Facebook, such as your Facebook photos, any additional photos you upload, your first name, your age, approximate number of miles away, your personal description, and information you have in common with the person viewing your profile, such as common Facebook friends and likes.
6. How do we protect your information?
Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
We do not sell any of your personal information to 3rd parties. We may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide as described in this Policy:
  • To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.
  • To contractors, service providers and other third parties we use to support our business.
  • To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of the Service's assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceeding, in which personal information about our Service users is among the assets transferred.
  • For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.
We may also disclose your personal information:
  • To comply with any court order, law or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.
  • If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Service, our customers or others.
We may, without restriction, disclose aggregated information about our users and information that does not identify any individual.
We implement a variety of security measures when a user enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information.
All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.
7. Do we use `cookies`?
Cookies are small text files which a website may put on your computer or mobile device when you first visit a site or page. The cookie will help our Service, or another website, to recognize your device the next time you visit. For example, cookies can help us to remember your username and preferences, analyze how well our website is performing, or even allow us to recommend content we believe will be most relevant to you.
We do not currently use cookies for tracking purposes, however this is subject to change.
You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser settings. Since the browser is a little different, look at your browser`“s Help Menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies.
If you turn cookies off, Some of the features that make your site experience more efficient may not function properly.
8. Data Controller and Processor
PGRaters processes personal data both as a Processor and a Controller as defined in the directive of NDPR, POPIA and all other data protection agencies. The PGRaters entity which you as a user entered an agreement with when using PGRaters platform, will be the Controller for user data. For respondent data, the user will be the Controller in accordance with the NDPR directive and PGRaters will be the Processor.
PGRaters adheres to the directive of NDPR. PGRaters processes all data provided by its users with accounts in its European Data Region. All data collected by PGRaters users through surveys is stored exclusively in secure hosting facilities provided by Amazon Web Services. PGRaters has a data processing agreement in place with its provider ensuring compliance with the Directive. All hosting is performed in accordance with the highest security regulations. All transfers of data internally is also done in accordance with the data processing agreement. We do not transfer users data externally
9. Your Rights?
According to the various data protection directive, all users on the PGRaters platform have rights to have control of their personal data. You can object to how your personal data is being used. As a user you have control of what and how you want your data to be processed. If you are not satisfied with the way we use, store or protect your data, you can request for change by contacting us at support@pgraters.com.
10. Access to Information
You have the right to request access to the information we have on you. You can do this by contacting us at support@pgraters.com. We will make sure to provide you with a copy of the data we process about you. In order to comply with your request, we may ask you to verify your identity.
We will fulfill your request by sending your copy electronically, unless the request expressly specifies a different method. For any subsequent access request, we may charge you with an additional fee.
11. Information Correction and Deletion
If you believe that the information we have about you is incorrect and you cannot change your details yourself in the settings of the PGRaters platform, you are welcome to contact us so we can update it and keep your data accurate. Any data that is no longer needed will be deleted. If at any point you wish for PGRaters to delete information about you, you can simply contact us on support@pgraters.com.
You can also choose to delete your account from the settings tab within the PGRaters application.
If you are not happy with the rating reviews you are getting, you have the ability to hide all or specific reviews, as well as deactivate it completely.
12. Data Retention
We only retain the Personal data collected from a user for as long as the user`“s account is active or otherwise for a limited period of time as long as we need it to fulfill the purposes for which we have initially collected it, unless otherwise required by law. We will retain and use information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve conflicts and enforce our agreements as follows.
We ensure personal data is securely disposed of when no longer needed, however we do not intend to delete a user`“s data if inactive for a period of time unless requested to do so.
13. Is Providing Personal data Mandatory?
Personal information you provide to us is stored on a password protected server accessible only by the administrator. We use SSL and malware scans. However, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Service because any transmission of information over the Internet has its inherent risks. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Service. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials, confidential. If another user gets hold of your credentials and accesses your account, contact us at support@pgraters.com and we will resolve it.
If at any time we suspect a breach in our systems that could lead to stolen personal data, we will inform our users within 48 hours of detecting the breach and we will do everything possible to limit the breach.
14. Third-party links
Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.
15. Children`s privacy
Children under the age of 13 should not use our services without the consent of their parents/guardians and must not attempt to register or subscribe with our services and/or submit any personal information to us. PGRaters does not knowingly collect personal information from any person who is under the age of 13. If it comes to our attention that we have collected personal data from a person under the age of 13, we will delete this information as quickly as possible. If you have reason to believe that this has occurred, please contact us via the Contact Us page, and we will delete any such information. We recommend that children between the ages of 13 and 17 should ask their parents or legal guardians for permission before registering with our service.
We understand that many juvenile team organisers may wish to use PGRaters services to manage their teams. Team Managers/Organisers should ensure that team member contact details for juvenile teams are in line with the child protection guidelines laid down by the governing body for their sport in their national jurisdiction (in most cases that means that only parent/guardian contact details should be used for conveying information to the juvenile).
16. Changes
If we decide to change this privacy policy, we will post the changes on this site, and if there is a material change to our privacy policy for any reason, we will notify you promptly by sending an email to an email address we have on file for you.
17. Contact Us
Please send an e-mail to support@pgraters.com to request access to, correct or delete any personal information that you have provided to us or to ask questions about this Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to refuse a request if we believe it would violate any law or cause the information to be incorrect. You can edit or delete your own information in your account settings. However, if you want to delete your whole account, then you have to contact us.
